A 10-year plan (2-cycles of the Ministry) from 2002 - 2012, which will detail standby plans for 30 products. These plans will consist of interim targets on track to a 1-Watt standby plan. The government is taking a voluntary approach for now, but will impose mandatory standards if necessary. They are also leaving open the option of placing non-compliance warning labels on products that don't meet the standards. Please see the Product Profiles page for specific product plans.
