Energy Saving Office Equipment and Home Electronics Program

The program was started in April 1999 to induce manufacturers to voluntarily produce energy-saving home electronics and office equipment by attaching energy efficiency labels on qualified products.
Currently it is a voluntary partnership between manufacturers and the Korean government, as represented by the Korea Energy Management Corporation (KEMCO). Their slogan is "1 Watt Standby 2010" and they're aiming for a presidential directive similar to the Executive Order issued by US President Bush and mandatory efficiency standards by 2010.
