One question we see periodically from users is a request for the UL file number for PI parts.

The UL (or other safety agency) file number for a component indicates that it has met the safety requirements for that class of component. Components where this is a requirement are opto-couplers, Y and X class capacitors, fuses and (materials used in the construction of) transformers. All of these components either bridge the isolation barrier or provide a critical safety function.

Could I use N41(N48) material instead of 3f3 material? Why Do they use 3f3 material for 66kHz switching freq?

We have a power supply (+3.3V+/-4%, 0.6A) based on LNK603 - schematic is attached. I works pretty well at temperatures appr. from -10 to 85degC. Now we faced with necessity to extend the operation temperatures to full industrial range (-40...85degC).

What do I do? I do not get TOP243YN

I am currently using the DPA424 Flyback Controller. Unfortunately the device is jumping back and forth from continuous to discontinuous mode. I understand that maximum efficiency is why it is doing this, however my goal in this design is not necessarily the highest efficiency but the quality of the output voltage. The oscillations occur at a 350-400hz rate, and they cause a tremendous amount of ripple at the output and no amount of filtering can eliminate this at these frequencies.

I´m using the TOP258P in a 30W dual voltage power supply following the RDR-142 and works fine at Tamb=85ºC. But I need to increase the Amb temperature to 105ºC.

How can I calculate the junction temperature if the surface of the TOP258P is at 113ºC inside an Temperature Chamber at maximun load condition?.
