TOPSwitch Family

The TOPSwitch-HX and TOPSwitch-GX families of products use the same proven topology as TOPSwitch, cost effectively integrating the high voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection and other control circuitry onto a single CMOS chip.  Both incorporate a 700 V power MOSFET, high voltage switched current source, PWM control, oscillator, thermal shutdown circuit, fault protection and other control circuitry onto a monolithic device.

TOPSwitch-HX - The latest generation product in the TOPSwitch line, TOPSwitch-HX features multi-mode operation with linear frequency reduction to 30 kHz (@ 132 kHz) and multi-cycle modulation (assuring virtually no audible noise), Output Overvoltage Protection (OVP), improved Line Feed-Forward with Duty Cycle Reduction, and I2f Trimming.
