PoE Applications
Power Integrations offers a range of highly integrated, low-voltage (DC-to-DC) conversion ICs for cost effective power conversion. Each IC includes a 220 V power MOSFET combined with control and protection circuitry on a single chip. Features include current limiting and thermal shutdown with automatic fault recovery capability to improve reliability. DPA-Switch devices easily accommodate the input voltage requirements for IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet. The family includes four different MOSFET sizes and three package options to provide the most cost effective solution for each Class of PD. The family is also capable of supporting higher power devices being developed for the IEEE802.3at PoEP standard.
